AirAsia has pledged earthquake relief support by providing air transport assistance for Lombok following the second earthquake on 5th August. The airline will support emergency aid organisations carrying out relief efforts on the Indonesian island following the earthquake.
Earthquake relief provisions
The assistance will cover
- air travel of aid workers and volunteer medical professionals
- transportation of relief items such as hygiene kits, dry food supplies and blankets.
Registered aid organisations are encouraged to email their requests for assistance to [email protected] for evaluation. Further information and instructions on conditions of carriage will be provided upon approval.
