Want to fly to London, but not keen to arrive in Heathrow? Singapore Airlines will take you direct to Gatwick Airport from June 2024 with five flights per week to choose from. Singapore Airlines (SIA) launches its inaugural non-stop flights between Singapore and London Gatwick Airport in June 2024, operating the five-times weekly services with the long-haul variant of its Airbus A350-900 aircraft.
Direct to London Gatwick Airport
Together with its current four-times daily services to London’s Heathrow Airport, this brings the total number of flights to the United Kingdom’s (UK) capital to 33 weekly services from the current 28 weekly services. SIA also operates five-times weekly services to Manchester Airport.
Subject to regulatory approval, flight SQ310 will operate on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The inaugural flight will depart Singapore for Gatwick Airport at 2355hrs (local time) on 21st June 2024 and arrive in London at 0625hrs (6.25am) on 22nd June 2024.
The return leg, flight SQ309, will operate from Gatwick Airport to Singapore on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with the inaugural return flight departing at 1015hrs (10.15am) on 22nd June 2024, landing in Singapore at 0620hrs (6.20am) on 23rd June 2024. The early morning arrival offers customers options to connect to SIA and Scoot flights to destinations across South East Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Passengers in SIA’s long-haul A350-900s can choose from 253 seats spread across three cabin classes, 42 in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy Class, and 187 in Economy Class.
London’s Gatwick Airport is an excellent gateway for travellers looking to explore the capital and the South East of England. The airport offers transport services into central London, with trains connecting travellers directly to major hubs such as London Blackfriars, London Bridge, City Thameslink, St. Pancras International, and London Victoria, close to a number of key tourist attractions.
The addition of Gatwick increases the number of European destinations in the SIA network to 14 , reflecting the airline’s firm commitment to enhancing its connectivity to this key region.
