Malindo Air takes off for Banda Aceh with the inaugural flight from Penang on 15th March 2018. Fight OD328 is due to depart at 10:10a.m. from Penang International Airport, touching down in Sultan Iskandar Muda (Banda Aceh) International Airport two hours later. As the time in Banda Aceh is one hour ahead of Penang, passengers will arrive at 11:10a.m. (local time).
The thrice weekly service will operate Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, using Malindo Air’s ATR72-600 fleet. The return flight OD329 departs from Bandar Aceh at 11:30a.m. (local time) for a scheduled to arrive in Penang at 2:40p.m.

Banda Aceh is located on the northwestern tip of Indonesia at the mouth of Aceh River. The city is popular with travellers, offering attractive beaches and is a jumping off spot for divers heading for the prime spots nearby. The city has a number of royal heritage sites and its coffee shops are famous for delicious brewed coffee.
In conjunction with the launch, Malindo Air is offering all-in one-way introductory fares from Penang to Banda Aceh from MYR 189. You can fly from Ipoh to Medan from MYR 169. The promotional fares include 15kg baggage allowance.

Malindo Air also operates more than 70 flights weekly from Penang to their hubs in Kuala Lumpur and Subang.
Ipoh to Medan flights return
Malindo Air has announced the return of flight between Ipoh and Medan from 16th March 2018. Flight OD330 is scheduled to depart from Sultan Azlan Shah Airport at 10:05a.m., arriving at Kualanamu International Airport at 10:45a.m. (local time). The return flight OD331 departing from Medan at 11:20am, arriving in Ipoh at 13:35p.m. Fight time is 1 hour 40 minutes.
