The 2018 Commonwealth Games will be held at the Gold Coast, Australia between 4th and 15th April. If you’re going as either a competitor or a supporter, you’ll need to know the transport arrangements to ensure you don’t miss anything. If you’ll be in the Gold Coast or passing through, but not attending, you’ll also be affected.
The Games, the 21st in the series, have been held in Queensland before, when Brisbane played host in 1982.

Events in other locations
Track cycling and shooting will be held in Brisbane. Travel is expected to be heavy on both the M1 Motorway and public transport. Changes have been made to schedules that seek to ease travel arrangements. You can also download apps to help plan your journey from this page.
Transport arrangements for Events in Brisbane are strict. The Gold Coast Bulletin is reporting that no foot arrivals or car drop-off will be allowed. This will apparently affect even those staying nearby the venue.
Events (Basketball Preliminaries) will also be held in Cairns and Townsville so there are transport impacts here as well.
