After just one year, Silk Air will expand their service to Australia, with direct flights to Cairns every Monday, Thursday and Saturday and five weekly return flights to Darwin.
This change is effected by the de-linking of the current Singapore – Cairns flights which stopover in Darwin every Monday and Thursday. Singapore bound passengers from Darwin on this flight currently have to travel via Cairns, considerably lengthening the journey.
The new schedule will therefore shorten travel time for these two flights and improve capacity on the two routes.
Silk Air is the Regional Subsidiary of Singapore Airlines and offers a number of routes in the region.
