Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA) will start a new Singapore-Subang service connecting Subang Skypark to Changi Airport for the first time since Changi stopped accepting turboprop flights from the smaller airport some years ago. Since then, the only service connecting Subang to Singapore has been Firefly’s flights into Singapore’s Seletar Airport, nearly 20km from Changi.
Singapore-Subang service
The new daily Singapore-Subang service, which is scheduled to start 1st September 2024, offers customers an alternative option to conveniently travel between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore, and beyond to the rest of Scoot’s network. Scoot will operate their Airbus A320 aircraft on the new route.
With the new service to Subang, Scoot’s route network will increase to 70 destinations, including ten in Malaysia. They currently fly between Singapore and Ipoh, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur (KLIA T2), Kuantan, Kuching, Langkawi, Miri, Penang and Sibu. From September 2024, Scoot will operate 110 weekly flights to Malaysia through these ten destinations..
Booking are now open for flights to and from Subang, officially ‘Lapangan Terbang Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah’, uses the Airport code SZB and is also commonly known as Subang Skypark. With the reopening of the airport to jet services, the next question will be “When the Subang Skypark Link KTM service reopen?”
