AirAsia’s Golden Aircraft 9M-RAQ takes to the skies as the airline unveils striking gold livery in celebration of their 16th Skytrax win as the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline at the recent 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards.
The golden aircraft which was revealed during a special send-off ceremony at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2 (KLIA T2) on 19th June, celebrates the support of close to one billion travellers who have flown with AirAsia since 2001. This custom livery is themed ‘Still Winning, Still Gold’.
Where can I see AirAsia’s Golden Aircraft?
9M-RAQ is a 6 year old Airbus A320 Neo and seems to have been flying recently between Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah, as well as within the state and regional destinations. It looks like this aircraft flies has recently flown mostly out of Kota Kinabalu (BKI), an important AirAsia Hub, so if you want to check it out, find one it’s scheduled for to the peninsula or AirAsia regional destinations out of BKI.
