AirAsia kicks off the Harvest Festival Gawai Harvest Festival season with Pesta Sungai Kampung Simpok, an annual celebration that brings together villages across the Padawan region through culture, colour, and creativity. The celebration was held  in Kampung Simpok in Kuching, Sarawak with local communities participating in the event’s highlight, the much-anticipated raft decoration competition.

Community teams had the opportunity to showcase their identity and craftsmanship, joined by AirAsia  who stepped up as the official community partner for 2025, honouring local customs and uplifting underserved communities.

In conjunction with the celebration, AirAsia is offering a limited-time promotion with special all-in one way fares on flights between Kuching and Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta and several others, starting from RM119*. Additional all-in one way promotional fares are also available on flights from Kota Kinabalu to Tawau, Sandakan, Kuching, Kuala Lumpur from RM69*.

To mark the celebration, AirAsia brought its signature red to life at Kampung Simpok by decorating the village entrance, main stage, and raft competition area with festive colours and cheer. The AirAsia Fun Team also added to the energy, performing and engaging with the crowd to highlight the joy of cultural exchange.
