The inaugural flight of AirAsia Cambodia takes off smoothly into the early morning sky this morning, headed for Siem Reap. Launched only six weeks ago, the first flight departed from Phnom Penh International Airport at 7:40am with an almost full load, landing at Siem Reap Angkor International Airport at 8:30am local time.
Passengers travelling to Siem Reap on flight KT102 were sent off by Bo Lingam, Group CEO of AirAsia Aviation Group and Vissoth Nam, CEO of AirAsia Cambodia, along with AirAsia management and Allstars. From Siem Reap, the aircraft left for Sihanoukville, connecting three domestic destinations within Cambodia, before returning to their base in Phnom Penh.
These initial routes underscore AirAsia Cambodia’s commitment to enhancing connectivity and providing affordable and convenient travel options for Cambodians and visitors alike. They are starting small, with only domestic services, but with a prime location in ASEAN, the opportunities for international destinations are already in their sights.

He added:
