Fast food to go on Firefly

by on November 17, 2014

Firefly Airlines today lived up to their tagline of ‘Beyond Convenience’ by officially launching Firefly Express Meals, in conjunction with the meal provider, Circle K.

The launch was held at the Subang Skypark International airport which serves Klang Valley residents as a handy commuter airport with turboprop flights to many Malaysian destinations and international flights to nearby destinations including Koh Samui, Medan and Singapore.

While Firefly does provide complimentary snacks during their flights, many regular commuters have indicated that they want something more substantial. Firefly has responded by teaming up with Circle K to launch the Express Meals which can be ordered online and collected from the Circle K outlet just opposite the check-in counters, before departure. To suit differing needs, meals purchased are packed in a brown paper bag with plastic cutlery and a cup of water and may either be taken on board or eaten before you go.  Plans are afoot to expand the availability of the meals to other domestic airports in Malaysia as Circle K expands their reach.

The range of meals available covers favourite Malaysian treats, with Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng and Chicken Rice joining Spaghetti Bolognese and uniquely Malaysian Spaghetti Mamak style. A meat free option is available as well, Macaroni cheese.

As an introductory offer, Firefly Express Meal will be sold at special price of RM9.50 per meal, a RM3 discount on the regular price of RM12.50, until 20th November.
