If you’d like to visit one of China’s most beautiful national parks or try Sichuan’s spicy cuisine at the source, the capital, Chengdu is one of AirAsia Group’s new Southern China routes out of Kuala Lumpur. With three services a week, starting July 2023, on two morning flights and three evening services, you have plenty of flexibility.

The new services to Quanzhou and Guilin operated by AirAsia Malaysia (AK) and to Chengdu (Tianfu) operated by AirAsia X Malaysia (D7) added to airlines’ network of 15 routes raises services to over 129 flights weekly between China and Malaysia. As a result, AirAsia leads in the China market as the largest foreign carrier serving the country.

Promo fares on new Southern China routes

Flights to and from Quanzhou recommence twice weekly from 18th June 2023.  Thrice weekly services to and from Guilin will restart on 18th July 2023 with flights to and from Chengdu (Tianfu) will start twice weekly on 1st July 2023, increasing to three times weekly from 4th July 2023. Tianfu Airport is a little further away than the previous airport used by AirAsia X, but travel into the city by subway is inexpensive, less that RMB 20 per person. The journey takes a little over one hour.

In celebration of the launch of these new routes, AirAsia is offering 20% off all seats on all flights* across its 130 destinations including all flights to and from China. Great deals are available for flights to and from Malaysia, China, Australia, Indochina, India, South Korea, Japan and more. The promo fares are available for booking until 21st May 2023 for travel between 1st June and 14th December 2023. *Other terms and conditions apply.

AirAsia Malaysia (AK) has also resumed daily services from Kota Kinabalu to Wuhan, further strengthening its position as the Malaysian carrier with the most connections and capacity in China.
