I have enjoyed this service twice this year. The first booking was made for a Jetstar Vietnam flight in July 2014, travelling from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang. I located a cheaper fare on Vietnamese low cost carrier – Vietjet. The second booking was travelling from Sydney to Gold Coast in May 2014. I found the cheaper fare on Tigerair.

In order to obtain the fare from Jetstar you need to call a dedicated hotline via the Jetstar call centre: 1300 369 519. (see Jetstar.com for calling from other countries). One incentive for customers to use this service is that Jetstar waives the online booking fee and the even heftier booking fee which normally applies to call centre bookings, as well as any applicable credit card fees. It should be noted Jetstar vouchers cannot be used.
Some of the best airlines for price beating through Jetstar are Tigerair, Air Asia, Scoot so this service is particularly handy when flying between any of the following cities; Brisbane, Darwin, Sydney, Melbourne, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Phuket, Denpasar-Bali, Bangkok and Hong Kong.
It is a great option for travellers who personally prefer to fly with Jetstar or simply want to avoid flying a lesser known carrier. In any case, I now always include Jetstar when comparing on price.
