“Rhythmic Experience” rolls in to KLIA2

On Friday 28th November 2014, AirAsia X, the long-haul low fare affiliate of the AirAsia Group, welcomed its 17th A330-300 powered by Rolls-Royce’s 1,500th Trent 700 engine.

The welcome took place at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2) and makes the aircraft, dubbed “Rhythmic Experience” , the 22nd Airbus 330-300 in the fleet.

Delivery of the new aircraft was made in Toulouse, France on 24th November and the new addition landed in Kuala Lumpur on 25th November.

Helping to celebrate the arrival were  (2nd from left) Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace – Malaysia & Thailand Sales Director Joe Tink, AirAsia Group Head of Engineering Anaz Ahmad Tajuddin, Rolls-Royce, President – Civil Large Engines Eric Schulz, AirAsia Xís Chief Executive Officer Azran Osman-Rani, and Rolls-Royce Malaysia Sdn Bhd Country Director Saji Raghavan (3rd from right).
