Malaysia’s biggest Street Dance Competition is coming with AirAsia

Is your Street Dance group the best in Malaysia?

If you believe it is, you can you can support them at AirAsia Battle of the Year 2015, Malaysia’s biggest street dance championship.

Title Sponsor AirAsia is supporting this event which supports young talents and is also known as the World Cup of breakdancing. Dance crews from around the world compete in regional preliminaries hoping to qualify for the prestigious finals’ stage, and Battle of the Year Malaysia is the platform for Malaysia’s breakdance crew to qualify for the South Asia round before proceeding to the finals.

More than 20 street dance groups from around Malaysia are expected to compete for the top spot on 8th August at Queensbay Mall, Penang to represent Malaysia at the South Asia competition later this year and then on, hopefully to the Finals against everyone else.

At the launch in George Town on 3rd July, Kenneth Tan, Station Head of Penang AirAsia Berhad was joined by Penang State  EXCO member for Youth and  Sports, Women, Family and Community Development YB Puan Chong  Eng, where the details of the competition were released, along with the line-up of international judges. Those named include  Bboy Iron Monkey, from USA, Bboy Zero Nine from Korea and Bboy Bojin from Taiwan.

As a supporter of young talent in all fields, AirAsia hopes the young people particupating in this latest competition will emulate the success of others supported by the airline including sports talents, MotoGP rider Zulfahmi Khairuddin and international squash player Low Wee Wern.
